Last November, amidst the hustle and bustle of Global Entrepreneurship Week, Radice Soil Solution joined forces with TaikiE to host a transformative event: Taiao Tuesday. Set against the backdrop of Treble Court Gisborne, this event was more than just a gathering—it was a celebration of collaboration, innovation, and the boundless potential of entrepreneurship in the environmental space.
The morning sun cast its golden rays upon a diverse array of organizations gathered for the showcase—an eclectic mix of farmers, environmentalists, and change-makers united by a common purpose: to nurture our planet and foster sustainable practices. From Whangara Farm to the East Coast Exchange, each organization shared their unique journey towards environmental stewardship, sparking conversations and forging connections that would ripple far beyond the confines of that sunny morning.
But it wasn't just about showcasing our efforts—it was about finding common ground, forging partnerships, and amplifying our impact. As the morning unfolded, I found myself immersed in a sea of conversations, ideas, and possibilities, each one a testament to the power of collaboration in driving positive change.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the horizon, we transitioned into the evening—a more intimate affair, yet no less impactful. Local entrepreneurs took centre stage, sharing their stories of resilience, perseverance, and triumph in the face of adversity. From overcoming struggles to redefining success on their own terms, each story served as a beacon of inspiration, igniting a flame of possibility in the hearts of all who were present.
And then, as darkness descended upon the courtyard, we gathered around a flickering fire, the crackling flames a backdrop to the open discussion that ensued. Topics ranged from pushing beyond our comfort zones to reimagining the role of business in building a more sustainable future. It was a night of reflection, revelation, and connection—a testament to the power of community in driving positive change.
